Rescue COBALT
Cobalt is a 17 month old, neutered Weimaraner who is lacking exercise and attention because his folks both work and there's a new baby in the family. He's good with the baby but is a little too exuberant when he wants to play with the seven year old. He is crate trained and normally sleeps in the kitchen. He goes into his crate with no argument as soon as he is told to go "in your house". As is common, he gets bored when left alone for long periods and tends to chew up his beds. He loves to swim and hike whenever possible and he sticks close during hikes, and when walking off lead he has never run off. Although he hasn't experienced cats, he doesn't seem much interested in the hamster. (But then, does it run away?) Cobalt has had very little training and will need to learn that he is not the pack leader and how to walk properly on a lead. His behavior varies when left alone and un-crated for a long period of time, but usually he is fine. He loves the car and loves to travel. He is apparently in good health and is up to date on all vaccinations. All of his vet records are available. Cobalt is a very athletic and lovable family pet and will be a great addition to a family that can fulfill his needs. If you would like to give Cobalt the love, exercise and attention he needs, please contact us at rescue@westwaweimclub.org.
